श्री गुरु राम राय विश्वविद्यालय व श्री महंत इन्दिरेश अस्पताल के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में बुधवार को कैंसर जागरूकता शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। श्री महंत इन्दिरेश अस्पताल के कैंसर सर्जरी विभाग के विशेषज्ञों ने शिविर में कैंसर के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी दी। शिविर का उद्देश्य भारत में कैंसर की बढ़ती घटनाओं के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाना और रोगियों को मुफ्त परामर्श और कैंसर जांच प्रदान करना था। कैबिनेट मंत्री उत्तरखण्ड सरकार प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल ने कहा कि कैंसर से डरना नहीं लडना है। जनजागरूकता फैलाकर इस मुहिम को और आगे बढाया जा सकता है। इसमें समाज के हर आयु हर वर्ग की सहभागिता जरूरी है।
बुधवार को धनवंत्री भवन ऋषिकेश में कैंसर जागरूता शिविर का शुभारंभ कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि एवम् वित्त मंत्री उत्तराखण्ड सरकार प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल, कार्यक्रम के विशिष्ट अतिथ डाॅ अजय कुमार खण्डूड़ी, कुलसचिव श्री गुरु राम राय विश्वविद्यालय, विजय नौटियाल, अधिकृत हस्ताक्षर प्रबन्धक, श्री दरबार साहिब व डाॅ पंकज कुमार गर्ग, विभागाध्यक्ष कैंसर सर्जरी विभाग श्री महंत इन्दिरेश अस्पताल ने संयुक्त रूप से किया। कैबिनेट मंत्री प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल ने श्री महंत इन्दिरेश अस्पताल के कैंसर सर्जरी विभाग की ओर से किए जा रहे कार्यों की सरहाना की। उन्होंने श्रीमहंत इन्दिरेश अस्पताल के चेयरमैन श्रीमहंत देवेन्द्र दास जी महाराज का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए उनके द्वारा स्वास्थ्य, चिकित्सा व शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में चलाई जा रही मुहिम की सराहना की। कैबिनेट मंत्री ने आश्वासन दिया कि अनिवार्य कैंसर अधिसूचना के लिए वह स्वास्थ्य मत्री से बात करेंगे ताकि कैंसर के सही आंकड़ों का पता लगाया जा सके।
श्री गुरु राम राय विश्वविद्यलाय के कुलसचिव डाॅ अजय कुमार खण्डूड ने विश्वविद्यालय के कुलाधिपति श्रीमहंत देवेन्द्र दास जी महाराज के आशीर्वचन प्रस्तुत किए।
श्री महंत इन्दिरेश अस्पताल के वरिष्ठ कैंसर विशेषज्ञ डॉ पंकज गर्ग ने भारत में कैंसर के बारे में कुछ चैंकाने वाले आंकड़े साझा किए। उन्होंने बताया कि भारत में हर साल लगभग 14-15 लाख नए कैंसर के मामले दर्ज किए जाते हैं। हालाँकि, भारत में डेटा की कम रिपोर्टिंग के कारण वास्तविक संख्या बहुत अधिक हो सकती है। उन्होंने कैंसर नियंत्रण के लिए तीन आयामी दृष्टिकोण – जोखिम में कमी, शीघ्र निदान और कैंसर उपचार के बुनियादी ढांचे में सुधार पर जोर दिया।
डॉ. गर्ग ने अपनी टीम (डॉ. अजीत तिवारी और डॉ. रचित आहूजा) के साथ मरीजों को मुफ्त परामर्श दिया और कैंसर की जांच की। मरीजों को कैंसर की रोकथाम, शुरुआती पहचान और उपचार के बारे में बहुमूल्य जानकारी दी गई। शिविर को स्थानीय समुदाय से जबरदस्त प्रतिक्रिया मिली, सैकड़ों लोग परामर्श और स्क्रीनिंग के लिए आए। डॉ. गर्ग ने बताया कि श्री महंत अस्पताल उत्तराखंड के लोगों को सस्ती कीमतों पर अत्याधुनिक गुणवत्ता वाली कैंसर उपचार सुविधाएं प्रदान करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने आगे बताया कि अस्पताल आयुष्मान और गोल्डन कार्ड लाभार्थियों को कैशलेस कैंसर उपचार की सुविधा प्रदान करता है।
कार्यक्रम में कैंसर सर्जन डाॅ अजीत तिवारी, डाॅ पल्लवी कौल, डाॅ रचित आहुजा व डाॅ राहुल कुमार ने भी कैंसर से जुडी महत्वपूर्णं जानकारियां दीं। विजय नौटियाल ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापन पड़ा। मंच संलान सिमरन अग्रवाल ने किया।
कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में पीआरो जितेन्द्र यादव , मानवेन्द्र सिंह, भूपेन्द्र रतूडी, भास्कर मैंदाला आदि का विशेष सहयोग रहा। इस अवसर पर एसजीआरआर पब्लिक स्कूल हरिद्वार, ऋषिकेश, शाखा व भानियावाला शाखा के शिक्षक, छात्र-छात्राएं व स्टाफ भी मौजूद थे।
