मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने गुरुवार को मुख्यमंत्री आवास में उच्च स्तरीय बैठक के दौरान कैंचीधाम मेले की व्यापकता और श्रद्धालुओं की सुविधाओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए तात्कालिक, मध्यकालिक और दीर्घकालिक योजनाएं तैयार करने के निर्देश दिए। मुख्यमंत्री ने स्पष्ट किया कि तात्कालिक उपायों से मेले के वर्तमान संचालन को बेहतर बनाया जाए, वहीं मध्यकालिक और दीर्घकालिक योजनाओं के माध्यम से स्थायी एवं सुदृढ़ प्रबंधन प्रणाली विकसित की जाए। इसके साथ ही मुख्यमंत्री ने सेनेटोरियम से भवाली पेट्रोल पंप से आगे तक लगभग 3 किलोमीटर मार्ग पर हो रही कटिंग कार्य को युद्धस्तर पर पूर्ण करने के निर्देश भी दिए, ताकि यातायात व्यवस्था को और बेहतर किया जा सके।

 

जिलाधिकारी नैनीताल वंदना सिंह ने जानकारी दी है कि प्रसिद्ध धार्मिक स्थल कैंची धाम मेले में श्रद्धालुओं की संख्या प्रतिवर्ष तेजी से बढ़ रही है। एक साल में लगभग 24 लाख श्रद्धालुओं ने कैंची धाम में दर्शन किए, जबकि पूर्व वर्षों में यह संख्या औसतन 8 लाख के आसपास रही थी। इस वर्ष श्रद्धालुओं की संख्या में और अधिक वृद्धि की संभावना है।

 

जिलाधिकारी नैनीताल वंदना सिंह ने बताया कि कैंची धाम की धारण क्षमता कम है, जबकि मेले के दौरान क्षमता से अधिक कई गुना श्रद्धालु आते है। इस वर्ष 2.5 लाख से 03 लाख श्रद्धालुओं के आने की संभावना है, जिससे ट्रैफिक प्रबंधन और भीड़ नियंत्रण के लिए व्यवस्थित प्लान तैयार किया गया है। उन्होंने भविष्य में कैंची धाम में आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं के लिए पंजीकरण व्यवस्था लागू करने एवं अधिकतम सीमा निर्धारित करने का सुझाव दिया, जिससे यात्रा को सुरक्षित, सुव्यवस्थित और सुगम बनाया जा सके।
