रक्षाबंधन के उपलक्ष्य में कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी द्वारा हर वर्ष की भांति इस वर्ष भी भव्य रक्षाबंधन समारोह का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें मसूरी विधानसभा क्षेत्र की 15 हजार से अधिक बहनों ने मंत्री जोशी को रक्षा सूत्र बांधकर उनके दीर्घायु और कुशल नेतृत्व की कामना की।

कार्यक्रम में भाजयुमो की राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष नेहा जोशी ने मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी की कलाई पर रक्षा सूत्र बांधा और कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी की धर्मपत्नी ने केंद्रीय मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत की कलाई पर रक्षासूत्र बांधा।

समारोह में केंद्रीय संस्कृति एवं पर्यटन मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत और मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी बतौर मुख्य अतिथि उपस्थित रहे। इस अवसर पर गढ़वाली, कुमाऊनी और नेपाली सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियों ने कार्यक्रम में रंग भर दिया। वीर नारियों और मातृशक्ति की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति समारोह का विशेष आकर्षण रही।

केंद्रीय मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में उन्हें हर घर शौचालय और जल जीवन मिशन जैसी योजनाओं पर कार्य करने का अवसर मिला है, जिनका सीधा लाभ देश की महिलाओं को मिला। उन्होंने कहा कि महिला सशक्तिकरण को केंद्र में रखते हुए बनाई गई योजनाओं ने देशभर में सकारात्मक बदलाव लाए हैं। उन्होंने उत्तराखंड की सीमांत क्षेत्रों की महिलाओं के हस्तशिल्प उत्पादों को वैश्विक बाजार से जोड़ने के प्रयासों की भी सराहना की।

मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में बेटी बचाओ-बेटी पढ़ाओ, उज्ज्वला योजना, सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना, नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम और तीन तलाक जैसी सामाजिक कुप्रथाओं को समाप्त करने जैसे कदमों ने महिलाओं को आत्मनिर्भर और सशक्त बनाया है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज महिलाएं खेतों से लेकर अंतरिक्ष तक और सेना से लेकर खेल जगत तक देश का नेतृत्व कर रही हैं। राज्य सरकार भी इसी दृष्टिकोण से मातृशक्ति के सशक्तिकरण के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने रक्षाबंधन को अपने जीवन का सबसे आत्मीय और भावनात्मक दिन बताया। उन्होंने कहा, “रक्षाबंधन मेरे लिए केवल एक पर्व नहीं, बल्कि एक ऐसा दिन है जब मैं अपने आपको एक मंत्री नहीं, बल्कि एक भाई, बेटा और परिवार का जिम्मेदार सदस्य मानता हूं। उन्होंने कहा कि विगत 17 वर्षों से मसूरी विधानसभा क्षेत्र की हजारों बहनें उन्हें राखी बांध रही हैं और यह परंपरा उनके लिए किसी वरदान से कम नहीं है। मंत्री जोशी ने यह भी कहा कि वर्ष 2015 से उन्होंने 13,000 बहनों का बीमा प्रधानमंत्री सुरक्षा बीमा योजना के तहत स्वयं के व्यक्तिगत खर्च पर कराया है। बीमा की वार्षिक किश्त भी वे अपने निजी खाते से वहन करते हैं ताकि रक्षाबंधन केवल प्रतीकात्मक नहीं बल्कि वास्तविक सुरक्षा कवच बन सके। उन्होंने सभी बहनों को रक्षाबंधन की शुभकामनाएं दीं और उनके सुख-दुख में हमेशा साथ रहने का आश्वासन दिया।

भारतीय जनता युवा मोर्चा की राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष नेहा जोशी ने कहा कि केंद्रीय मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत द्वारा ‘हर घर नल’ योजना के अंतर्गत किए गए कार्य सराहनीय हैं। उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री धामी की भी प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा कि उन्होंने महिलाओं को सशक्त और आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए प्रभावशाली प्रयास किए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि मैं स्वयं को सौभाग्यशाली मानती हूं कि मुझे ऐसे पिता और भारतीय जनता पार्टी जैसा परिवार मिला जिसने मुझे राष्ट्रसेवा का अवसर दिया।
