उत्तराखंड के पारंपरिक लोकपर्व हरेला के अवसर पर शिक्षा विभाग द्वारा आज व्यापक वृक्षारोपण अभियान चलाया गया। प्रदेशभर के राजकीय विद्यालयों में विद्यार्थियों, शिक्षकों और कर्मचारियों के सहयोग से अब तक 1.5 लाख से अधिक पौधे रोपे जा चुके हैं।

 

विभागीय मंत्री डॉ. धन सिंह रावत के नेतृत्व व प्रेरणा से इस अभियान की शुरुआत की गई है, जिसका उद्देश्य पर्यावरण संरक्षण को जनआंदोलन बनाना है। मंत्री डॉ. रावत ने शिक्षा विभाग को बरसात के पूरे मौसम में कुल 5 लाख पौधे लगाने का लक्ष्य दिया है, जिसमें छात्र-छात्राओं, शिक्षकों व अभिभावकों की भागीदारी भी सुनिश्चित कराने को कहा है।

 

माध्यमिक शिक्षा निदेशक डॉ. मुकुल सती ने बताया कि आज हरेला पर्व के अवसर पर प्रदेशभर के विद्यालयों में पूरे उत्साहपूर्वक वृक्षारोपण किया गया। जिसमें माध्यमिक व प्राथमिक स्तर पर 1.5 लाख से अधिक पौधे लगाए गए। जिसमें पौड़ी जनपद में 8500, देहरादून 16859, हरिद्वार 15000, टिहरी 7836, चमोली 6400, रुद्रप्रयाग 7502, उत्तरकाशी 3710, अल्मोडा 11438, नैनीताल 11900, ऊधमसिंह नगर 31000, पिथौरागढ़ 9789, चम्पावत 12000 तथा बागेश्वर में 15926 पौधे रोपे गये। जिनमें आड़ू, खुमानी, नाशपाती, चुल्लू, अखरोट, आम, अमरूद फलदार वृक्ष तथा स्थानीय प्रजातियों में बांज, बुरांश आदि शामिल है।

 

 

डॉ. सती ने बताया कि विद्यालय परिसरों और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में पौधरोपण के लिए सभी अधिकारियों, शिक्षकों एवं शिक्षणेत्तर कार्मिकों को जिला और ब्लॉक स्तर पर आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश जारी कर दिए गए हैं। उन्होंने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि विभागीय मंत्री द्वारा निर्धारित लक्ष्य समय से पूर्व ही पूरा कर लिया जाएगा।
