देहरादून, । मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने  देहरादून में उत्तराखंड पॉवर लिफ्टिंग एसोसिएशन द्वारा आयोजित “एशियन सब जूनियर-जूनियर मैन एवं वूमेन कप एवं एशियन यूनिवर्सिटी कप पॉवर लिफ्टिंग प्रतियोगिता 2025” का शुभारंभ किया। सीएम धामी ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड को खेलभूमि के रूप में स्थापित करने उद्देश्य से हमारी सरकार राज्य में शीघ्र ही एक स्पोर्ट्स लेगेसी प्लान लागू करने जा रही है, जिसके अंतर्गत प्रदेश के आठ प्रमुख शहरों में 23 खेल अकादमियों की स्थापना की जाएगी। इन अकादमियों में प्रत्येक वर्ष 920 विश्वस्तरीय एथलीट और 1000 अन्य खिलाड़ी उच्च स्तरीय प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त करेंगे। हमारी सरकार हल्द्वानी में उत्तराखंड का प्रथम खेल विश्वविद्यालय एवं लोहाघाट में एक महिला स्पोर्ट्स कॉलेज स्थापित करने की दिशा में भी तेजी से कार्य कर रही है। प्रदेश में खेलों के समग्र विकास और खिलाड़ियों को प्रोत्साहित करने के उद्देश्य से हमारी सरकार ने एक नवीन खेल नीति लागू की है। इस नीति के अंतर्गत राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पदक विजेता खिलाड़ियों को आउट ऑफ टर्न सरकारी नौकरी प्रदान की जा रही है।
