प्रदेश के पंचायतीराज मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने केन्द्रीय पंचायतीराज राज्य मंत्री एस० पी० सिंह बघेल से नई स्थित उनके आवास पर शिष्टाचार भेंट कर क्षेत्र पंचायत प्रमुख एवं जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष के पद के लिए प्रत्यक्ष चुनाव कराये जाने की व्यवस्था किये जाने का अनुरोध किया गया है।

 

प्रदेश के पंचायतीराज मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने शुक्रवार को केन्द्रीय पंचायतीराज राज्य मंत्री एस० पी० सिंह बघेल से नई स्थित उनके आवास पर शिष्टाचार भेंट कर भारत के संविधान में प्राविधानित व्यवस्था में संविधान संशोधन के माध्यम से क्षेत्र पंचायत प्रमुख एवं जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष के पद के लिए प्रत्यक्ष चुनाव कराये जाने की व्यवस्था किये जाने का अनुरोध किया। गया है। उन्होंने केन्द्रीय राज्यमंत्री को बताया कि विभिन्न जनपदों के भ्रमण के दौरान क्षेत्रीय जनप्रतिनिधियों एवं बुद्धिजीवी वर्ग द्वारा भी इस बात की अनुशंसा की जाती रही है कि क्षेत्र पंचायत प्रमुख एवं जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष के पद के लिए प्रत्यक्ष चुनाव कराये जाने चाहिए।

 

श्री महाराज ने केन्द्रीय पंचायतीराज राज्य मंत्री बघेल से यह भी अनुरोध किया कि यदि क्षेत्र पंचायत प्रमुख एवं जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष के पद के लिए प्रत्यक्ष चुनाव का प्राविधान किया जाता है तो इससे पंचायत चुनाव से सम्बन्धित अनेक विसंगतियां दूर होंगी और पारदर्शिता से पंचायत प्रकोष्ठ के चुनाव सम्पन्न होने में सफलता प्राप्त होगी। उन्होंने त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनावों के अन्तर्गत प्रमुख, क्षेत्र पंचायत एवं अध्यक्ष, जिला पंचायत के पद पर प्रत्यक्ष चुनाव कराये जाने के निमित्त राज्यों को शक्ति प्रदान किये जाने हेतु भारत सरकार के स्तर से अग्रेत्तर कार्यवाही करवाये जाने हेतु सम्बन्धित को निर्देशित करने का भी उनसे अनुरोध किया। केन्द्रीय पंचायतीराज राज्य मंत्री ने श्री महाराज को आश्वस्त किया कि इस विषय में मंथन चल रहा है।
