राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेज श्रीनगर में संविदा के आधार पर 9 विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों की नियुक्ति को चिकित्सा स्वास्थ्य एवं चिकित्सा शिक्षा मंत्री डॉ. धन सिंह रावत ने अनुमोदन दे दिया है। विभिन्न संकायों में इन विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों की तैनाती से मेडिकल कॉलेज में जहां शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों में व्यापक सुधार होगा वहीं कॉलेज में अध्ययनरत एमबीबीएस छात्रों को बेहतर प्रशिक्षण भी मिल सकेगा।

 

सूबे के राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेजों में संकाय सदस्यों की कमी को दूर करने के लिये राज्य सरकार निरंतर प्रयासरत है। इसी क्रम में कॉलेजों में फैकल्टी की नियुक्ति के लिये हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा उत्तराखंड चिकित्सा शिक्षा विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति की अध्यक्षता में गठित साक्षात्कार कमेटी ने वॉक-इन-इंटरव्यू के माध्यम से 9 विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों का चयन कर नियुक्ति प्रस्ताव राज्य सरकार को उपलब्ध कराया है। जिसे सूबे के चिकित्सा स्वास्थ्य एवं चिकित्सा शिक्षा मंत्री डॉ. धन सिंह रावत ने अपना अनुमोदन दे दिया है। कमेटी द्वारा चयनित इन विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों को संविदा के आधार पर राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेज श्रीनगर में नियुक्ति दी जायेगी। जिसमें डॉ कुलदीप सिंह लालर को कार्डियोलॉजी विभाग, डॉ. देवेन्द्र कुमार को न्यूरोसर्जरी तथा डॉ. इंदिरा यादव को रेडियोथैरेपी विभाग में प्रोफेसर पद पर नियुक्ति की गई है। इसी प्रकार डॉ. सौरभ सचर को रेडियोडाग्नोसिस, डॉ. विक्की बख्शी को रेस्पिरेट्रीय मेडिसिन तथा डॉ. शीबा राणा को ईएनटी विभाग में एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर के पद जबकि डॉ. निधि बहुगुणा को ऑब्स एंड गयानी, डॉ. सुफीयां खान को नेत्र तथा डॉ. छत्रा पाल को इमरजेंसी मेडिसिन विभाग में असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर के पद पर नियुक्ति दी गई है। इन सभी चयनित विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों की नियुक्ति आगामी तीन वर्ष अथवा उक्त पदों पर नियमित नियुक्ति होने तक जो भी पहले हो के लिये की गई है। राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेज श्रीनगर में इन संकाय सदस्यों की नियुक्ति से एमबीबीएस छात्रों के शिक्षण संबंधी दिक्कते दूर होगी साथ ही उन्हें बेहतर प्रशिक्षण भी मिल सकेगा। इसके अलावा मेडिकल कॉलेज से सम्बद्ध चिकित्सालयों में मरीजों को भी बेतहर उपचार मिलेगा।
