जनपद में महिलाओं को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने एवं उनकी आर्थिकी को मजबूत करने के लिए महिला समूह के माध्यम से स्वरोजगार के अवसर को उपलब्ध कराए जाने के लिए जिलाधिकारी मयूर दिक्षित इस दिशा में निरंतर प्रयासरत है ।
जिला विकास अधिकारी मनविंदर कौर ने अवगत कराया है कि जनपद में महिलाओं को स्वरोजगर के अवसर उपलब्ध कराए जाने तथा उनकी आर्थिकी को मजबूत करने के लिए जिलाधिकारी के कुशल नेतृत्व एवं निर्देशन में महिलाओं को प्रोत्साहित किया जा रहा है । उन्होंने अवगत कराया है कि विकासखंड ऊखीमठ के दुरस्त गांव जालमल्ला में महिलाओं को जागृत करते हुए नारी शक्ति ग्राम संगठन बनाया गया है । जिनके द्वारा दोना पत्तल बनाने का कार्य किया जा रहा है । नारी शक्ति ग्राम संगठन को राष्ट्रीय आजीविका मिशन के अंतर्गत गठित किया गया है तथा मुख्यमंत्री पलायन रोकथाम योजना के अंतर्गत जालमल्ला में संगठन को दोना पत्तल बनाने के लिए 15 लाख की धनराशि स्वीकृत की गई तथा संगठन द्वारा दोना पत्तल बनाने के लिए मशीनों का क्रय किया गया । इसके साथ ही ग्राम संगठन द्वारा सामुदायिक निवेश निधि से 2 लाख की पूंजी मैनुअल मशीन मालू पत्तल बनाने हेतु क्रय की गई जिसकी कुल 17 लाख की लागत से कार्य शुरू किया गया है ।
उन्होंने अवगत कराया है कि ग्राम पंचायत जालमल्ला में नारी शक्ति ग्राम संगठन की 10 महिला सदस्यों द्वारा कार्य किया जा रहा है जिसमे उनके द्वारा मालू पत्ता ( क्वाटर प्लेट ) और मालू पत्ता ( प्लेट ) तैयार की जा रही है इनके द्वारा वर्तमान तक 19,922 प्लेटे तैयार की गई है तथा 3,242 प्लेटों का विक्रय किया गया है । तथा इनके स्टॉक में 16,680 प्लेटे अवशेष है । नारी शक्ति ग्राम संगठन ने अब तक 6,500 की धनराशि का विक्रय किया है । उन्होंने कहा कि महिला समूह द्वारा तैयार किए जा रहे दोना पत्तल से जहां प्लास्टिक से तैयार किए जाने वाले प्लेटों एवं ग्लासों का उपयोग नहीं किया जाएगा वहीं दूसरी ओर महिलाओं की आर्थिकी भी मजबूत होगी ।
