उत्तराखंड सरकार ने नामित हज कमेटी में मुस्लिम महिलाओं को जगह दी

देहरादून, । उत्तराखंड सरकार ने नामित हज कमेटी में मुस्लिम महिलाओं को जगह दी है। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी की पहल पर राज्य की तीन महिलाओं को पहली बार हज समिति में प्रतिनिधित्व दिया गया है। शासन की ओर से जारी की गई कमेटी सूची में कोटद्वार निगम पार्षद की  रिजवाना परवीन, हल्द्वानी की तरन्नुम खान और अल्मोड़ा की शाहिदा सिराज को स्थान दिया गया है।
समिति में विधायक लक्सर के विधायक शहजाद को भी प्रतिनिधित्व दिया गया है। इसके अलावा जिशान अहमद, हसीब अहमद, इस्लामुद्दीन अंसारी, समीर जाफरी, खतीब अहमद, मन्नान राजा, हाजी अबरार हुसैन, हाजी फईम खान को भी समिति में नामित किया गया है।
महिला सशक्तिकरण है मुख्य उद्देश्यः सीएम पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा है कि मुस्लिम महिलाएं भी हज करने जाती हैं। उनकी हज कमेटी में मजबूत पैरवी हो, हज संबंधी फैसलों में वे भी अपने सुझाव दे सकें,  इसको देखते हुए उनकी सरकार ने राज्य बनने के बाद पहली बार उन्हें हज कमेटी में प्रतिनिधित्व दिया है। मुस्लिम महिलाओं के सशक्तिकरण के उद्देश्य से पूर्व में भी महिला आयोग के उपाध्यक्ष पद पर सायरा बानो को नियुक्ति दी गई है।
